A protein known as CA 125 is a so-called tumour marker or biomarker, which is a substance that is present in tumour cells at higher concentrations than in other types of body cells. Particularly, ovarian cancer cells have a higher concentration of CA 125 than do other cells. The CA 125 protein was first discovered in the early 1980s, but its current purpose is unknown. Cancer antigen is abbreviated as CA.
A blood test is frequently used to measure CA 125. Book an Appointment for CA-125 (Tumor Marker) Test Center in Ulhasnagar
